If you’ve ever tried building a website yourself on Wordpress, you know the difficulties that come along with that task. You may have a great image in your head of how you want the site to look and function, but unless you’re familiar with coding and the web builder, it can prove to be next to impossible. You end up settling for something that works, but is far from perfect. Here are the top 4 reasons we don’t use Wordpress:
- Not user friendly – Drag and drop? That isn’t in the Wordpress lexicon. If design aspects are an important part of your website, then Wordpress can be incredibly frustrating. Even if you are familiar with code, it doesn’t always translate to look like you want.
- Page management difficult – Editing your Wordpress site is not always as easy as 1, 2, 3. If you need to, say, add a new page, it isn’t as simple as pressing a button and entering text.
- Unsecure – Wordpress is one the most widely used web developers around, and one of the most frequently hacked. It’s almost impossible to ever have a website be fully secure, but there are many ways for hackers to work their way in to your site through Wordpress.
- Expensive plugins – If you’re a small business, every penny counts. To efficiently run a Wordpress site, some extra plugins might be required, but those plugins aren’t always free.
We’ve run into these issues with Wordpress and other web development tools time and time again. That’s why we’re creating our own web development tool that is simple to use, secure, and affordable. Keep your eyes peeled for more details to come!
